I'd be more than willing to pay more tax if I thought it would go to funding a better NHS, and I've been saying the same for many years. I'd like to think the vast majority of tax payers would agree. It's the NHS trusts that had to charge their staff to park because government funding just hasn't been there to help. But still people vote these pampered gits into government in the hope that their personal tax allowances will increase. Anyone earning enough to pay income tax should be prepared to pay more or risk waving their NHS goodbye. Not many people I know get through life without needing a doctor at some point, and not many can afford to go private.
