Nice outfit. I guess if you are going to conjure up demons to do your bidding you have to dress the part. Casual attire consisting of shorts, tee shirt and sandals just isn't going to cut it.

Was Aleister Crowley the magical mastermind behind the WW2 Operation Mistletoe?
Never believe anything until it has been officially denied.

McToot blows on his bagpipes, while Elspeth and Angus watch the notes go floating across the waves!

In consideration and after some very thorough analysis I’d say that my answer to c.d.’s original question would have to be.......“no.”

Possibly, however it seems to have been an MI5 idea which also involved Ian Fleming,as you are aware.

My family shares the Crowley "coat of arms". Interesting piece of work.

Incidentally, some of Le Chiffre's features in Casino Royale were based on Crowley.

Interestingly enough Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page bought Boleskine House in 1970.

1970 was the year that "Lord Sutch and Heavy Friends" was released.
Page wrote half the tracks, played on seven and produced the album.
Seven years earlier Sutch released the single "Jack the Ripper".

No, it was the other way round.

Looks like the question now is did Crowley summon a renewed interest in this thread?

Just WHAT have you been drinking? Was it that green stuff that Jeremy keeps under the counter labelled "Do NOT serve to ANYONE under 55?"
