I haven't visited the american south, I've been to AZ but I guess that's a different scene.
Louisiana sounds too swampy, Florida too humid, and the food would probably kill my stomach.
But I am sure I would love the "southern gothic" groove.
I love unicorns - especially the ones with lots, lots of glitter. Elusive as they may be , they always leave some trail behind.
If you like Southern Gothic, you need to go to Savannah Georgia. The accents are straight out of Gone With The Wind, the people are eccentric, the nights are sultry, and the crazy is out loud and proud. It’s also The setting for Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil. A wonderful book and a middling movie. It’s really a classier New Orleans.

i’d say come to Nashville, but if you don’t like country music or traffic I’m not sure we have much to offer these days.

I remember that movie fondly. The book was more in-depth, I gather. I like country music and having survived the traffic of Athens, I feel I can tolerate any other, so why not.

And who doesn't like eccentric or the outloud craze?

Midnight In The Garden Of Good And Evil is a superb book.

I picked it up in a charity shop purely because I liked the cover and it was the best 50p ever spent!

I have been dying to visit Savannah ever since I read it.
