I once shared digs with a friend whose elderly, eccentric landlady kept more than thirty cats, and the stench was unbearable. The door to our flat was like Father Brannigan's in The Omen, but instead of crosses it was plastered with dozens of "Stick-Up" air fresheners to keep the smell at bay. This was particularly bad news for me as I'm allergic both to cats and to perfumed air-fresheners, and I spent a small fortune on anti-histamines while I lived there.
    Kind regards, Sam Flynn

Strange headline - 'people discover....' Why not just 'rescuers discover...'?

One could argue that discovery of the situation is implied by knowledge of the situation. Why not "300 Cats Living In A Two-Bedroom Apartment"?

Yes, that's better because it's shorter.

Not pithy enough. I suggest "Cat Flat"

That turns out to have been my 666th post, so I may have been channeling the Antichrist there.
