    Something Fascinating

I've recently realized that my fav musicians rhyme in "an" : Robert Schumann, Shane McGowan, Ninjaman, while, even more surprisingly, my fav authors rhyme in "on" (Stevenson, Chesterton, Charles Bronson).

How you explain that ? Can SPE shed some light ?

In case something equally fascinating occurs in your life, just put it here.

Good idea for a thread, David. Weird coincidences have dogged me all my life.

But what did Charles Bronson write? Death Wish 6?

I could confess I added Charles Bronson out of despair but that wouldn't help the thread.

I'm trying to think of an author whose name rhymes with Ripmycorsetsoff.

                Flight of imagination.

Hello Stephen, David. How about Rimsky-Korsakoff? (OK, music, but . . .)

                Cheers.

I have always loved the music of Mozart. The spooky thing is, "Mozart" turns out to be the name of....Mozart!

I've never met any Mozart. Even not a Muhammad Mozart.

Then maybe is real name was Fred Spratt.

BTW, I am still trying to get the full versions of Chopin's waltzes. Apparently they're marked 3/4 which means 1/4 is missing.

That brought back a memory of seeing a Burns and Allen TV show in the 1950s when of course I was a small child.

Gracie: Our new neighbour doesn't use an egg-timer when she boils an egg. She just goes in the living room and plays Chopin's Minute Waltz three times.

                        George: So?

Gracie: Well, it takes her ten minutes to play it once.

Oh and I've just remembered an interview on British TV in 70s or 80s where the 100 year old George Burns was asked what was the main disadvantage of such extreme old age and he said that when he woke up in the morning he had to masturbate to get his heart to start beating

Amazing how long he went on for, that guy.

By the by, if you wish to ship over the AF printouts, they'll reach me fine by now. (I'm still in Sweden, but will be on my way soon.)
