  • Medieval Pub Quiz

There is a new series starting on the History Channel on Fridays at 9 o'clock
called 'Pub Dig', where a team of archaeologists dig up pub gardens -pubs often being the oldest buildings in a community.

This programme would be heaven for me -but I shall have to try and watch it on Vuze, living in France.

What I really wish they could dig up would be a load of ancient pub quizzes, of course......

What might the questions be ?

    quiz time

Hello Ruby. Well, a question about mediaeval logic would be lovely (I presume the logicians like Radulphus Strodus and John Duns Scotus liked their pints.)

    I would start with:

Q: What is the correct formulation of Ockham's Razor (in Latin, of course).

    A second might be:

Q: Compare and contrast Ockham's Razor with the Principle of Parsimony.

    Finally:

Q: What is the best way to mind your P's and Q's? (heh-heh)

    Cheers.

        Buridan's ass

Hello David. Buridan's ass? Oh, he's starving between the 2 bales of hay. (heh-heh)

        Cheers.

A bale of hay or a bucket of water, I think (starving to death or dying of thirst is the choice).
