    So ... the real purpose of this thread was to have a laugh about some Swedes finding a drunken elk in an apple tree. All serious comments, and especially all acrimonious arguments, are alien to the purpose of this thread, and should be taken to http://www.issuesaroundswedishecology.gov.se/

    Please can someone post some more dismal puns on the theme of drunken elks in apple trees?
    Hi Chris!

    As I feel that I am the chief culprit here I can only APOLOGISE to you and ask for your forgiveness. I don't know what came over me. I vaguely remember someone mentioning something about an elk, a tree, and some cider. That reminded me about my husband's big bottle of Somerset Scrumpy that he brought back from our recent holiday in England and I usually get a bit sentimental on cider which always means I start thinking about my Mum and then I'm afraid I highjack other people's threads and write about her because you can't stop me until you've read it and tell me off on Casebook so that everyone can read it and then I get upset because I don't mean any harm and nobody understands that I'm a very friendly soul who looks on everyone I meet as a potential friend until proved otherwise and I think now I need to go and have a little cry.

    But I am truly sorry I highjacked your thread.

    Lots of love
    Carol xxxxx

      [QUOTE=Rubyretro;190932]Oh Dear.

      I was reading Carol & Sister's comments about wolves and hunters and wondering whether to reply and make myself unpopular once again....but I guess that I'll just have to do it.

      (Hi Chris. May I just write a little tiny answer to Ruby here? Oh, thank you, you really are a sweetie!)

      Hi Ruby,
      I have to keep this reply very short or I'll probably be banned from Casebook. Sister Hyde and I were talking about the situation with the wolf population here in Sweden. There aren't any packs of them - that's the problem.
      Love
      Carol
