Well, educated, creative, and empathic people don't become skinheads, so it's really inevitable that their music blows.

Dear Errata, the problem is not 10 idiots a week, but several hundreds or even thousands on one day, the birthday of the deputy lunatic. I haven't read the linked article, but I think that the 5000 skinheads refer to the birthday "celebrations" alone.
Another point is the reputation, Wunsiedel received due to the idiots. The area around Wunsiedel has only a weak industry, and it is difficult to convince someone to start up there when the only thing the town is known for is the grave of a criminal lunatic and the neo-racists celebrating him.
