  • How Do You Post A link?

Can someone tell me how you post a link to an article. Tech stuff just ain't my thing. Thanks.

Just copy and pasting works. Just select the entire address that's in the white bar, and copy it and then paste it here.

If you don't know how to copy and paste I usually do it by selecting the text (highlighting) then hitting Control and V at the same time, and pasting with Control and P. Or you can right- click on the selected test and gives you the option of copy and pasting.

      Hi Ally,

Yeah, I tried that and I must be doing something wrong. I can paste the address but it doesn't come out in link form. In other words, if you click on it nothing happens. It doesn't take you to the page.

Hey CD, if you follow through and post, it will come out as a link. The coding isn't applied until you hit Post.

Or you can try it on preview and it should work too...just checked that. I don't know..it's working for me?

Ok. That's what was confusing me. Thanks, Ally. Much appreciated.

              Hi c d

Go into the Post Reply Box (that's important) and then search for whatever you want to provide a link to. When you find it, right click on the http etc box at the top of the screen. This becomes highlighted and at the same time a box appears which includes the word Copy. click on this and then keep clicking the top left 'back' button until you're back in the reply box where you started. Once there click Edit at the top of the screen and then Paste and hey presto the link will appear.

Thanks, Stephen. I think I got it now. I was able to post a link to the saggy pants football player.
