Here is Paul Jones in his 'pop music' mood. A very good 'pop' track. However, Mr Jones is also a highly respected blues performer. I saw The Paul Jones Blue Band live a few years back. They were excellent.

That was a nice track Robert.
Manfred Mann certainly nurtured a lot of talent. Some members of the band morphed into Manfred Mann's Earth Band and had a few hits in the 70s and, of course, Paul Jones went on to have a very sucessful solo career as a performer and radio presenter.

Nice track. I'll have to investigate them (I was put off them by the lumbering "Joybringer." I told my friend's dad it was based on Jupiter from The Planets and he said, 'Well it certainly sounds like nothing on earth.') And Blinded By The Light was very repetitive.

I really need a calming background today and have re-visited this exceptionally beautiful classical piece (not really 'classical' as it's 20th century) that I have loved for many years.
You may recognise it as the theme tune to The Onedin Line but I was familiar with it prior to its use in the programme.

http://youtu.be/ziwsjE1O4Ow One of the best songs ever. Nobody else in the world could sing it with the last line, straight up…..
Never mind Strawberry Fields, it was John Forever…
