This female was arguably the finest songstress of the 20th Century and this version of "I love Paris" is simply sublime.........
And her rendition of this 'coal porter' classic is sumptuous....

Here is a truly beautiful, haunting but very sad song from Sinead........

I confess that altruistic and cynically selfish talk seem to me about equally unreal. With all humility, I think 'whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might,' infinitely more important than the vain attempt to love one's neighbour as one's self. If you want to hit a bird on the wing you must have all your will in focus, you must not be thinking about yourself, and equally, you must not be thinking about your neighbour; you must be living with your eye on that bird. Every achievement is a bird on the wing.

If perchance I have already posted this, I make no apologies : possibly the Beatles' best song.

I'm not a Tom Jones fan in any sense of the word - but I was drawn to this clip whilst browsing. I am just astonished how the audience surround him - dancing in an almost orderly fashion - as he sings about murdering his girlfriend.

I remember listening to this on my sister's old reel to reel over and over again when I was about nine or ten. We used to tape the 'hit parade' from the radio but got all sorts of other stuff on the tape from whatever was also going on in room at the time.
This is just beautiful
