What opponents? She's not running for anything? She's going on reality TV to become the next Kim Kardashian.

She's about as successful as her mini-me O'Donnell. She gave up her politically elected executive position as governor of Alaska, abandoning her responsibilities to be a TV star.

Who in their right mind would elect her after she quit her last elected position because she didn't feel she could do it effectively?

Yes, the problem here is that competition won't be opened up - just the opposite.

If Palin is such an idiot then what's that say about her opponents as she continues to run rings around them?

I wanted to say that, but didn't feel like getting involved in that part of the discussion.

I think she's just an idiot rather than an evil idiot...

Evil would suggest that she would deliberately bring in policies that would harm the USA and the rest of the world...

I don't think she actually wants to do that, but she appears to be so dim, that she would involuntarily harm planet earth through bad decisions and plain old idiocy...

    Just my 2 pennies worth...b

Actually I swear that they did, and massively, in Germany, when things got defreezed and health care companies went competitive. The exact same thing happened with phone companies about 5 years ago in continental Europe, as phone/internet bills went from expensive to super low-cost deals. (And actually this is argumenting against government “interventionism“, for which I would like to see a bit more in the US.) Still food, oil, produce, and rent prices get higher every year, but salaries don't, so it's inflation that constitutes a major problem in globalized economy. (And here “interventionism“ migh help.)

This is so sweet. Still, there's not one serious female presidential candidate in the US currently, so the issue doesn't even need to be addressed.

    Reality

Just because we Americans wanted to try something different and elected a black man as president, does not mean we're ready, willing or able to elect a woman, particularly Palin.

Oh and one more thing. You aren't paying more so I can pay less. You are paying more temporarily as a fear tactic by the insurance company because they are pissed off that I am going to be given something that they have denied me for circumstances beyond my control.

In the future, you will be paying far less because I will also be contributing to your insurance as will millions who are not currently paying in.

Why aren't you thanking me for your roads, your police, your military defense, your post office, your ...etc.

Anyone in this country who makes more than you do pays for your share so you can pay less. So where is your thanks to them?

Medicaid is only for people making below a certain amount of money. I could actually afford to pay for insurance ---I JUST CAN'T GET APPROVED! So I don't qualify for medicaid because I can afford to pay for insurance but insurance won't take me because hey..I actually need medical care.

< I am super pissy on this subject after doing a go round with the insurance company yesterday>

Also it should be pointed out that insurance companies charge other companies more for policies because they know companies can be ganked more than the private individual. So of course, your company has to pay twice what you would pay for an individual policy ---assuming you could get an individual policy.
