Hello Robert. No, indeed. Was he Professor Parkins? Hurt is an EXTREMELY versatile actor. I'd love to see this.

I thought John Hurt's performance was good, but otherwise I found it very disappointing.

Chris, without going into detail and spoiling it for Lynn, I'd say that although it departed from the MR James story, it did have its creepy moments, plus a tremendously unsettling atmosphere of bleak futility.
