What a fantastic win by the Australian women's team in the final! Well done girls.
.....Well the thing is, it doesn't matter what form of the game you're playing, if your team finds itself 3/8, it's going to take a miracle to post a decent score. We actually did reasonably well to make it to 147 after that atrocious start. But, you guys got an innings from Kevin Traitorsen and Craig Bedwetter (the South African and the German, respectively - how many times do you plan on changing wickies by the way? jeez.....Geraint Jones will probably get recalled next....LOL) and so that was that.
I believe we just felt we'd give you a glimmer of hope before inflicting a comprehensive thrashing in the Ashes series, like the last time you were here. Enjoy it while it lasts, gents.
I am old enough to remember the 1970/71 tour down under...
Have a look at those stats for that touring team.. agreed, it doesn't happen often, but still nice to look back on the occasional bout of glory in an Ashes Series down under.
best wishes
Phil

Justice for the 96 = achieved
Accountability? ....
Gracious in defeat as ever Adam. Once an Aussie whinger. This from a nation who fielded only one aborigini in their entire test playing life span.
Same predictable tired excuses. And the last time we were there we sent our second team.
Looking forward to retaining the Ashes against an average Australian side void of any extreme talent.
Still, comforting to know that your womens team is going great guns, huh? Maybe they should have played us instead of the sorry excuses you put out against us yesterday.
Treat this as good grounding, youre gonna have to get use to it Im afraid.

Yes, "Ickle Wicky Ponting", who has about twice the batting average and three times the amount of Test centuries of the very best England batsman.
Don't say too much about the "stooges". Warney might threaten to come out of retirement again, which would be more than enough to make you UN supporters quickly change the colour of your underwear.
I trust you have forwarded your 50 quid to the McGrath Foundation in advance? Might as well get it over and done with....
Come on, Adam. We beat you hollow - fair and square. A gentleman would admit as much. What a pity there doesn't seem to be a smiley face crying and wearing a broad-brimmed hat with corks dangling off. You had an excellent run but face it: Australia's days of supremacy as the best side in the world are well and truly over.
Sorry to have to break this to you but Ponting, Warne, Gilchrist, and Mc.Grath (fantastic players all) are now history and as such exert about as much influence as Lord Hawke or Arthur Shrewsbury.
And oh yeah... I take it that you consider Dirk Nannes and Kepler Wessels to be proper Australians.
