  • I just spent some time on amazon.com reading reviews of "Pulp Fiction." Wow. A lot of people absolutely hated that movie with quite a few calling it the worst movie ever made. As I said in my previous post, I thought it was good. Everyone is different and everyone is entitled to their opinion. But what really frosts my behind is that there are always people who will dislike something just because other people like it. The old emperor's new clothes routine. They will tell you that they don't follow the crowd and that other people like it because they are supposed to. But these people are rugged individualists who tell it like it is. Yeah right.

      • I watched Nobody's Fool (1995) the other day.
Paul Newman is perfectly cast as a neer do well father facing up to middle aged fatherly and personal responsibilities.
        Great stuff
Also check out Where The Money Is, for an entertaining 90 minutes worth of nonsense.

        • "The Picture of Dorian Gray" (1945 version). I thought it was good. The actor who played Dorian did a particulary good job. George Sanders was given a lot of witty and cynical Oscar Wilde lines to deliver.

            • I saw Tim Burton's ALice In Wonderful recently. Very nicely done--more than just a lot of eye candy (although lots of that too).

Ironically I'll probably been seeing it again tonight as a double-feature with Prince of Persia (yippee--Drive-in season is here!!)

              • I finally saw Book Of Eli the other day. I love post-apocalyptic type films and I think that it was shot very well. The Hughes brothers are great directors in my opinion.

                  • I recently watched "My Life in Ruins" featuring Nia Vardalos with my wife. A surprisingly good movie. Mind you, I like Nia, but I wasn't expecting as good a movie as I got. A great choice to watch with your significant other.

I don't know if anyone has ever seen the Mexican film Y Tu Mama Tambien but that is one of the best films I have EVER seen. Its so profound and has so much depth to it. This movie really affected me like no other I have ever seen it really gets me emotional just typing about it now. Amazing, amazing movie definitely go buy the unrated version if you don't have a copy.

I haven't seen that one but Menace II Society is my favorite gangster film of all time. The ending I think is one of the best ever on film, Caine Lawson's last lines. EPIC
