Tragically, they seem not to have been wearing bodycams.

On afterthought, I tend to think that someone (probably rangers) shot them, and left the carcasses for lion food. Lions are unlikely to have coordinated their attack such as to kill three armed men, unless they panicked and broke, which seems unlikely for professional poachers.

I do hope they dug the bullets out before letting the lions eat them. Don't want anyone chipping a tooth.
