Stupidity on United Airlines leads to dead puppy

For more than three hours, a dog was inside an overhead bin on a United Airlines flight after a flight attendant told a passenger to put the animal there. Airline officials said it was a mistake. It turned out to be a deadly one.

The dog's carrier fit under the seat, which is the accepted requirement for pets riding in the cabin of an airplane. Anyone working on aircraft should know the overhead bin was not meant to carry living creatures, plus a look at the dog's face could tell you he might have breathing issues.
Absolutely stupid thing to do, order the dog owner to do that!
The airline, of course, has apologized, for all the good that does now.

Why aren’t they charged with animal cruelty.

There are two ways to be fooled, one is to believe what isn't true, the other is to refuse to believe that which is true.

I surely hope they are! We have laws in every state against deliberate cruelty against animals, something should cover this.
