Caught a TV documentary last night called "Helltown", about a supposed town in Ohio, Boston, which was evacuated in the 1970s by the government. It's a national park now, they saw, and the town's not the maps anymore.

Strange stories of cult groups, mysterious legends of a dangerous creature dating back to Native American days, and the very strange story of the only survivor from a military recon team sent in in the 1970s.

conspiracy theories have been around forever...but the internet really made it blow up...because anyone can write up anything and make it look very legit...and, well, sometimes the theories are born out of manipulation....anti government stuff to help sell weapons and "survival products" etc... but it is quite sad to see how many people buy into really INSANE ideas (flat earth etc)

What is wrong with these people? They seem rational and fairly well educated. Can anybody explain this?

    Hello Herlock,

I think you are right. It is probably very satisfying for them to say "so you are one of those fools who really believes that men landed on the moon."

I might have to go with the shadow people solely on the strength in numbers. You know me and my shadow.

I wonder who would win in a steel cage match between the lizard people and the shadow people?
