Maybe this is old news, but it looks like the Still and Star pub in Aldgate has been saved from demolition. That's great to hear.

Also,(something I didn't know) apparently Sainsbury's was in line to purchase and demolish the Blind Beggar- this too is no longer going to happen.

Are these pubs under the land jurisdiction of the London County Council? Maybe, if they are, they are granted some kind of protected historic site status?
