  • Chris George Recovering from Fall

    Hi Friends

I had a fall over the weekend and dislocated my right shoulder. We were up in Delaware visiting Donna's sister Lisa and spent five hours in the emergency room. Eventually they put me out to manipulate the shoulder back into place.

Eight years ago, Donna had a fall in a parking lot and broke her right shoulder, requiring surgery. My fall took place inside -- I tripped and hit a wall while on the way to the bathroom and landed on soft carpet.

The prognosis seems to be I will have my arm in a sling for three weeks but should be okay thereafter.

I am struggling to type with my left hand and trying to do most things one handed (of course it would happen that I am right handed). Not much fun.

    Cheers

    Chris

So sorry to hear that my friend...I hope the pain isn't too bad...and I'm sure you will be back to normal in no time....sleeping in a sling is no fun though.. I have been there myself

    Feel better soon

Lots people were typing one handed back in the AOL chatroom days but that's another story.

      Get Well Chris!
This my opinion and to the best of my knowledge, that is, if I'm not joking.

That might have had something to do with the fall

                        Hi Chris,

Sorry about the dislocated shoulder - those accidental falls can be really treacherous these days. You can take the time needed for recovery to catch up on more history reading that you enjoy.

                        Best wishes.

And my "sorry to hear" to the growing list.

All the best with a, hopefully, quick and not too painful recovery!

                              Hi, ChrisGeorge

While we have not encountered the opportunity to converse with one another upon this forum, I am familiar with your posts and your involvement with the community. From what you describe it is but a minor misfortune and I feel certain that you shall be back with us, as strong as before and with both hands typing, very soon.

                              Yours, Caligo
