  • Elisa Lam

I think this might be of some interest here. It's pretty intriguing. Happened couple of years ago.

I remember when the news came over because I myself was speaking to my mother on the phone and told her I thought it was a mob hit. I knew nothing about it and boy, was I wrong on that account, but I ran across it again two days ago, remembered the gist of the story and got interested.

When you watch the first video you might find it as intriguing as I do, and there are a lot of odd things about it. The youtube video, with it's inferences of other 'strange' things connected with the case, well, you might want to discount that stuff, or if you find it interesting not, but in any case the bare bones of reality regarding what happened to this poor little lam(b) might give you something to consider.

Enjoy the videos and music you love, upload original content, and share it all with friends, family, and the world on YouTube.

The second is a follow up story in the paper.

Canadian tourist Elisa Lam’s decomposing body was found in a water tank on the roof of the Cecil Hotel in Los Angeles at the beginning of last year. It’s depressingly easy to take life, it seems. Even the highly visible killings, the ones dogged by the press and chased down by Hollywood, eventually acquire the flavour of fiction, blown into hyperbole by armchair sleuths. It’s a metaphorical process not unlike the Big Bang, where ultimately the human remains in these stories become little more than dust. And when one of those lives belongs to a person with a mental illness, it’s even easier to blow them away. By MARELISE VAN DER MERWE.

She kept a couple of blogs. One under the name of Esther Fields, not used so much:

But the OTHER used a lot by herself and continued to be blogged on AFTER her death. She was last seen alive on Jan 31, 2013, in the Cecil Hotel:

http://nouvelle-nouveau.tumblr.com/ Note on here she has posted a pick of someone walking up the side of a tall building, and then sitting on the roof...was this her way of communicating her coming actions?

and finally quite a bit of talk here:
*Another update on 6-20-13 Elisa Lam’s death was ruled accidental drowning and she was suffering bipolar disorder which was listed as a significant condition. The result was issued by the Los…

Oh, one more thing. Her autopsy report.

Yeah, I mentioned this case in another thread awhile back. That security footage freaks the bejesus out of me. I have a feeling she wasn't alone there, but the other person was very careful to remain out of view. If she was killed, then it stands to reason it was someone who knew the hotel well, perhaps a current or ex-employee?

I think the police were too quick to rule it as an accidental death.

I have come across this before, another fascinating case.

So many cases, so little time.

At first I thought she was followed to the roof or met someone up there who killed her.

Then I thought she went up there for whatever reason, I was thinking, to commit suicide.

But a few days after I thought that, I thought, a young girl, climbs outside a building on an old ladder attached to the building going straight up OUTSIDE the building on the 14th floor to the roof?!

I find it hard to believe a young girl would do that.

But the last time she was seen alive was Jan 31, 2013 and on that day she posted this pic to her blog:

Also, when I went to post this today I noticed her Nouvelle-Nouveau blog it is CHANGED, a thing others have mentioned. Her blog has been posted to for months after her death.

It now does not reflect that picture of the tall buildings anymore, posted evidently (?) by her on Jan 31.

Her phone was stolen, I don't know if it was before Jan 31 but she checked into the hotel on Jan 26 so someone else could've posted it, which is even more ominous.

But I saved the blog the first time I looked at it and saw the picture, and so I'm guessing mine is a cache file.

This is the pic put up on the last day of her life, or at least the last time she was seen alive, and the pic:

I mean, that to me says a lot.

This is a relatively new news story from January 13, 2015.

Dead body of aspiring actress found in city water tank after residents complain of "strange taste"

Twenty seven-year-old Carmen Yarira Noriega Esparza's remains may have been in the tank since she disappeared almost a year ago.

risly find: The remains of Carmen Yarira Noriega Esparza were found in water tank
The rotting corpse of a missing young woman has been discovered floating in a city's filtration tank after residents complained of a "strange taste" in their drinking water.

Police said the body of aspiring actress Carmen Yarira Noriega Esparza, 27, was found in the tank by council workers responding to reports of foul tasting water.

The pretty brunette, a psychology graduate who dreamed of a TV career, was last seen leaving her gym in the Mexican capital Mexico City in February last year.

Following the grisly discovery, her family and friends are demanding answers over how her remains went unnoticed for so long.

In addition, residents in the area have been left horrified at the thought that the woman's decaying body tainted their domestic water supply for 11 months.

A police spokesman said: "City officials were called to the tank and when they opened it up they found the body in a high state of putrefaction.

"The body has been taken to the Institute of Forensic Sciences where a postmortem will be carried out to determine the exact cause of death.

"However she has already been identified as the missing woman from implants that she had as a result of a plastic surgery operation."

CENCarmen Yarira NoriegaInvestigation: Police are trying to trace what happened to the aspiring actress
According to police, it had been feared that Carmen - for whom they had a missing person report - had been taken by a gang involved in the sex slave business.

However, their investigation is now focused on her relationship with a businessman she had been seeing until she became romantically involved with a lawyer.

Officers said the businessman had been paying the rent on her flat.

But the week before she was supposed to move out of the flat, she vanished.

Carmen's friends and family launched a social media campaign and posted photographs of her in public in a bid to find her after a police probe failed to turn anything up.

Pal Javier Paz, 30, said: "She was a talented and beautiful women who dreamed of being an actress.

"When she failed to turn up at the clinic where she worked, we all thought that she might have been kidnapped and sold off into the sex trafficking industry, but it seems that her body was back in her apartment block the whole time."

Elisa Lam had complained there was a Mexican stalker following her, 'strong'. Could not be related, but it's a strange coincidence.
