The "How It Really Happened" episode about Michael Jackson's Death was fascinating.
For the record, that's a different program, on the same network.

Watched the two part episode on the Atlanta Child Killings. Over two dozen children and several adults killed in Atlanta in the late 1970s. Really fascinating how they linked the suspect to the killings. Convicted and serving several life sentences. Naturally he insists he is innocent.
If you have HLN you can search episodes for How It Really Happened and it should bring it up.

I looked Holes up when I started watching the show, as I didn't know his name. Sounds like an interesting fellow.
Of course I know of the Golden State Killer case, being a Californian by birth. I've seen some tv coverage, and watched the docudrama based on the "I'll Be Gone" book. Amazing how that case hooked so many smart people for such a long time. Same reason we become Ripperologists, I suppose.

New true crime series on HLN
A new documentary series, "Real Life Nightmare with Paul Holes" is airing on HLN in the United States.
I've seen a few episodes, and it is very interesting. Paul Holes was a police cold case investigator that has worked with DNA experts on unsolved cases.
The cases featured may be solved (like Jeffrey Dahmer) or unsolved (the Elisa Lam water tank mystery). They're presented in a through manner, featuring facts, interviews from police and others involved, re-creations of actions of the victim, and so forth.
Currently watching the disappearance case of an Ohio college student (male) who entered a bar inside an enclosed mall, but was never seen by witnesses or on security cameras leaving the mall. And nothing has been heard from him since then...
