What an amazing read of oldest successfully prosecuted cold case in U.S. history!

This is an amazing story of a 55 year old cold case that lead to a successful prosecution (oldest in U.S. history I believe). It involved the murder of a 7 year old child that occurred way back in 1957. The suspect was successfully prosecuted just last year. It's a long read but very well written!

You're right it's a fascinating story, and well worth reading despite the length...

On the face of it he's as guilty as sin, but whether he got a fair trial or not is a totally different question. (If he did do it, then did a seven year old girl get a fair do? But that of course is something of a circular argument...)

Be interesting to see what an appeal court might say...
