    Manson Henchmen recommended for parole.

Bruce Davis, Manson sidekick and multiple murderer, has been recommended for parole again. Hopefully the new governor will follow Arnie's lead and refuse to sign off on it.

I agree - no time to be releasing serial killers. At one point, he was even a suspect for Zodiac.

This my opinion and to the best of my knowledge, that is, if I'm not joking.

Isn't he also a suspect in the Scientology murders?

I have the book Zodiac/Manson Connection, which argues very unconvincingly for Bruce Davis, et al, as the Zodiac. And Bruce was not at the Tate house. He's certainly no serial killer.

Vincent Bugliosi has just died. He was the same age as Manson so things must be rough in prison.

            At any rate, R.I.P. Vincent.

Helter Skelter was the second true-crime book I read after some forgotten JTR book as a 12-year-old.

Today, I'm more interested in Bugliosi for his very effective "prosecution" of Lee Harvey Oswald, for better or worse. Lee was clearly involved but were others? Bugliosi argues no but I'm not so sure.

I have been meaning to re-read _HS_; thought I'd pop up to mention that Bugliosi wrote two other good true-crime books; ones name I can't recall (and it's not in the pile on the dresser) :-) and the other is _And the sea will tell_, about a double murder at Palmyra Atoll. Bugliosi had a lovely writing style, IMO--his prose was always clean and easy to follow. (I love _Reclaiming history_ but that's for another thread.) Cheers!

It was the reverse for me-HS first then Rumbelow's JtR book.

Anyway, maybe when these Manson minions hit about 95 we can consider offering them some mercy but not before. For some reason, Manson killer Steve "Clem" Grogan was released in 1985. What were they thinking?
