  • Transcript of the Trial of William Herbert Wallace

I am reading "Move To Murder" about the Wallace case.
I have also read the Goodman book and the Wilkes book and enjoyed them both.

What an astonishing case it is.

I attach a link to the full trial transcript, with apologies if it has been posted on the Forums previously.

It has indeed been posted before. If my sources are correct the book this is taken from contains more.

Press reports of the case also have extra information about Alan Close.

Check my thread a few posts down. It's my "research" thread. I post a bunch of never before discovered stuff there. I'm using it solely for that not for theorizing.

I think you might find some of those facts interesting.

Thanks Wallace, I have dipped into your thread, but with my curiousity rekindled about this amazing case, I will certainly check out your thread in greater detail.

      Good luck with the research.

Is a book on the horizon?

No book, whatever I find or any solution I find will be made public for free online.

Someone on Reddit implied to me they know who did it but wouldn't reveal details very annoying. However I think I know who they mean, they said it's someone with a "very strong connection to the Wallaces and especially Julia", and said it's a person "rarely named". So that means they are spoken about in a book (not as a suspect necessarily) and had a strong connection to both Wallace and Julia but particularly Julia.

To me that makes me think they could only possibly mean Dr. Curwen. Julia had visited him the day earlier twice? Once in the daytime, then at night to "pay a bill".

The other option would be that they think Amy Dennis is behind it, but uh, she got a train to Liverpool. So she'd of had to get a train away from Liverpool back to where she lived and then back to fake her arrival... So I think they're accusing Dr. Curwen.
