  • Missing girl's bones looked for in Vatican ossuaries

This is a very unusual case I've not heard of before. 15 year-old daughter of a Vatican employee vanished after her music lesson in the 1980s or so. Strange correspondence recently advised authorities to "look where the Angel is pointing" in the Teutonica Ossuaries, crypts where German speakers were buried. The coffins of two German princesses had been removed, but "thousands" of bones remain and are being sifted and tested for age. Weird!

I’d never heard of this either Pat. Sounds a bit Dan Brown.

It does, indeed, Herlock. It caught my attention, and suspicion. Also the quote by her elder brother: "The idea she might have been in these Ossuaries, two hundred yards from our house all these years..." (!)

I hope some kind of closure is found for the poor young woman's family, but it is possible this is a weird prank, too.

Let’s hope they find her. Pranks wouldn’t come much crueller.

Yeah, I've been sort of casually following this for the past few weeks, but it keeps turning stranger and more interesting with every update.
