Hi Holly, You're no doubt right that people know nothing about the Bath massacre. Shows there's nothing really new, I guess. Just think, instead of "going postal", it could have been "going school board."

Of course, a lot of us hadn't heard about Holmes either, until recent years.

Anyway, welcome aboard the Ripper express. Enjoy your time spent here.

    Best,

    Cel

The Kehoe case is in Encyclopedia of 20th Century Murder 1992. That was the first I'd heard of it. A TV program also covered it a few years ago.
This my opinion and to the best of my knowledge, that is, if I'm not joking.

I thought Cahokia was a great thing to visit in Illinois. If one likes history and has an interest in American Indians and the Mississipian culture, it should be fascinating. To me it was. I came down through East St. Louis. After driving through that area, anything would have been fascinating.

Those sites are fascinating, Mike. I saw some of them in Ohio---Serpent Mound, Mound City, and various isolated mounds scattered over the landscape. Very interesting.

I didn't mention either Cahokia or Dickson Mounds because you can't dig anything now without offending someone.

One correction - that home for Grant was not the only place he lived in his later years. I mistakenly gave it too much importance I believe.
