In the very least Condit is guilty of thwarting justice with his lying and disposing of evidence. He got what he deserved. He showed the world who he was and that all he ever cared about was himself. Typical politician.

Thats the thing I could never understand about women. How they cannot tell who the creeps are. Of course it dont help that the majority of men and women arent exactly pure either.

But getting back to the case. Gary Condit will never be cleared of guilt without again a full confession from the REAL murderer. Again.. The crimescene was compromised. Condit threw away the only evidence that could clear him. He lied and acted like the guilty party from the get go. He has proven that he has some form of antisocial personality disorder.

Gary Condit: #1 suspect until we get a full confession from the murderer and there is undeniable proof that the person confessing is the real murderer and was unknown to Condit.

Chandra Levy: A poor unfortunate woman with brains but lack of street smarts. By lowering her own moral standards for a pack of lies and deceit she sadly helped in thwarting the justice in her own murder.

When you contrast the Ramseys behavior in the aftermath of their daughters killing with the behavior of other parents whose child has gone missing/been murdered, one thing is clear: A letter from the DA will never exonerate the Ramseys in the mind of the public because their own behavior in the following days will cast a cloud of suspicion.

People who are more concerned with saving their own necks than cooperating with the police will forever be tainted. While it might be legally advisable to hire a lawyer and refuse to take a polygraph when a child has gone missing/been murdered, it is the death knell for public opinion.

And regardless, any parent more concerned with saving their own ass than cooperating with investigators deserves what they get. If you contrast it with any other case, be it Klaas, Van Dammes, the recent Haleigh Cummings case or the Caylee anthony case, it's clear: parents that cooperate are given the benefit of the doubt, parents that don't are reviled. And rightly so.

And as this is chandra levy thread not really Jon Benet the topic to get back to is Levy. Not Ramsey, which I will now do.

I know he's in jail so, if they're so concerned about the case being tainted, why say anything at all until he's actually arrested? "I'm starting to smell a big fat commie rat!" - General Buck Turgidson.
This my opinion and to the best of my knowledge, that is, if I'm not joking.

            Stan,

Because, uh duh. If people know anything that they've been sitting on or didn't realize was important, which can happen in a criminal investigation, if they know an arrest is imminent and the police are gathering information on this suspect now, they might come forward.

Yes, don't you love people like the Ramseys who act guilty and then chide us for noticing that.

Condit was a Democrat who voted for Clinton's Impeachment so his friends were few.

                Roy,
Dont give me any crap about what the DA said. They have proven they have nary the intelligence of a three year old child!!

They were/are and always will be the least qualified to give any opinion on the case!!!

Nope dude.. There were literally hours upon hours before the body was found and the where abouts of all the people in the house are UNKNOWN!

Ther in NO WAY to prove JBR was NOT sexually molested during her lifetime. Sorry but the autopsy report indicates signs of recent molestation both during and some days BEFORE JBL was murdered.

It reminds of this story of this SK on parole. At one of his parole hearings he was praised as a model prisoner and perfectly safe to society. All the while less than 20 feet away outside the window in the trunk of the SKs car was the severed head of his latest victim?

Dont tell me the police/da a bunch of head shrinks are going to solve the unsolvable. They are all complete dorks!!!!!

If you dont understand my last statement then you have proven you have nary the experience needed to comment on the case.

They can get that after he's arrested without tainting the case so they are working at cross purposes if that's what they are doing. Which is it? No wonder it has taken them this long to solve it.

No, they are gathering evidence now. There is absolutely no reason to arrest him since there is no imminent threat to the public.

Im just giving my opinion as a man. And you are correct I have made some mis judgements in the choosing of a mate also. Im sure from a womans point of view she could easily see how blind I was.

Sorry I made that comment. Im just frustrated because the Condit affair caused alot of trouble for police and the parents. I only wish that Chandra had made the right decision on that. I feel sorry for all of them except Condit.

                        Hi Mitch,

.. There were literally hours upon hours before the body was found and the where abouts of all the people in the house are UNKNOWN!

But we know who all of them were, and none of their DNA matched the unknown DNA found on the victim. Read the letter.

Ther in NO WAY to prove JBR was NOT sexually molested during her lifetime. Sorry but the autopsy report indicates signs of recent molestation both during and some days BEFORE JBL was murdered.

                        Wrong. Here's the autopsy (click)

They haven't solved it. They now know enough to absolve the Ramseys. In writing.

If you dont understand my last statement then you have proven you have nary the experience needed to comment on the case.

No I don't understand it. You started out talking about a frame-up but ended somewhere else.

How's about if you want to start a JonBenet debate, you also start a thread? Or use an existing one? There are several.

This one's about Chandra. I know I erred too, but it's getting back on track.
