My first novel finally to see the light of day!

In a shameless piece of self promotion, I am very pleased to let my friends here know that my first novel is about to be released (or escape, perhaps!)
The novel is in the genre now known as "speculative fiction" but which I still prefer to call "fantasy". The title is "The King Sword" and I am about to sign off the final proof and artwork so the book should be available pretty soon now.
Below is the cover - hope the pic doesn't scare you - the pic of me, that is, not the pretty landscape!
    More details to follow:-)

Congratulations, Chris! You're obviously a man of many talents.

I wish you the best of luck with your new book.

Curiously enough, I have a friend by the name of Doran.

                      Best regards,
                      Archaic

                        Thanks Archaic:-)
You will never believe the dramas I had arriving at a name...!
The character was first called Balinor but I then found it was a major character in the Shannara books by Terry Brooks.
I then went for Dorian, until a friend pointed out that not only was there the resonance of Dorian Gray but it was also the name of a sex obsessed woman in the comedy series "Birds of a Feather"!
                        So Doran it was :-)
