I am in the process of whipping up a theory regarding what Jack the Ripper May have thought about while and during his killing spree of 1888. This isnt, however, set in stone yet. Just want to see what you guys think about it. I know it is not likely that we can sum up a psychological profile based on a mental illness that we assume can be present but its always good to have an open mind and show all the possibilitys. This is one of those possibilitys.
I have a few points I will be covering in this essay.

This will be sorta long becase I have alot of points to cross over.
Hope it makes sense and adds up for you as it does for me.
Jack the Ripper had a very specific victim type. women, ages usually ranging 39-47(excluding marys age of 25) and of the lowest dreggs of sociaty. All of his six victims are or were prostituting themselves at one point or another. They have reputations of heavy drinkers. And they all live in round about the same area. They were all killed in high risk areas. All victms(Not mentioning stride because of how controversial she is)were attacked in the same areas, the throat, abdomen, and "Private parts".
Ripperologist tend to discout tabram too easily. Serial killers usually work their way up to a present and constent state of killing. Most crimes first commited by serial killers will be almost entierly different than their capital crimes.
Martha Tabram was killed on a landing in the george yard building. A risky environment as are the other murder locations. She was 39 years old and,ironicaly, stabbed 39 times. 21 of these wounds were found on her torso. 1 to the sternum, the cause of death. 9 to the throat. And 8 to the 'private parts' one of those eight was more of a "rip" than a stab.
Now this shows more of a enraged killer than an orginized one. But still organised enough to leave no trace of a killer(other than the dead victim).
Now to sum up narcissims a bit.
Narcissims is a personality disorder. Followed by self love and self admiration. The narcissist is someone who need a particular something called their "Narcissistic supply" or constent admiration, something I believe was serioously lacking in Jacks childhood and later life. They are cunning and pathalogical liers. They lack empathy and remorse towards others. they feel they have the righ to manipulate and be unnaturally cruel to others. They rage out at others and hate being critisised.
Just to name a few serial killers with narcissism, Ted Bundy, a good example, killed for his two desires, "control and mastery". At his trial he defended himself by himself, later blaming the murders on pornography. Harold Shipman the mass murderer clearly stated what he liked about his job,"having the power over life in death".
even our own Ripper suspect Dr.Neil Creme Is a narcissist. Bragging about his knowledge of his murders and even giving tours of his murder scenes, which led to his arrest.
The Geographic profile is very important in my eyes. If you link Hanbury st,dutfields yard,millers court, and bucks row you will get a area(which goerge yards is in) which was the killers 'comfort zone'. I am of the opinion that he was local because if he did live elsewhere why only murder in the east end? I am sure there were other prostitutes elsewhere that would be perfect victims but werent killed. I am also of the opinion that the reason Kate Eddowes was murdered outside of that comfort zone was because of the fact that Kate may have walked the ripper to her death.
A adolecent always shows signs of Narcissism, that is present in all children. But if a child, with those traits present, is physically or mentally abused, they may re-develop those traits during adulthood. I am of the belief that this is the case with jack. His mother was most likely a prostitute and was not very keen on cenetering her attention to jack as a child. Thus he became asocial and detatched from sociaty, experiencing tremors of rage of which he never knew how to release. Untill he discovered a amount of control for himself, killing animals and burning things. A serial killer had been born. As life moved on the usual release he sought for was begining to become not enough. Thus his rage returned. Building up untill he reached adulthood.
Furious at how could he possibally be happy he discovered the body of Martha Tabram, on that landing with a wound to the sternum. He took the advantage, Stabbing furiously to release that pent up rage. Thus the monster within him was released. he likes to murder. He finds its his only way to express his rage. But as the murders progress he also see that he is getting attention he never had before, thus fueling his narcissistic supply. In every prostitute he kills he sees his mother, it gets more personal as the murder progress, more violent, more destructive. Till he looses control during the murder of Kelly, he succumbs to madness.
This particular killer exihbits both traits. His locations are risky, daring, and he must rush in his murders, thus he is disorganised.
But he gets away with no evidence of him being there and without a trace he disapears. Thus he is organised. he is non existint in the eyes of the police and wasnt suspected. Thus he is organised. He, being a narcissist, walks away from his murders to clean up,then returns to bask in his glory. So he is orginised disorginised.
There is a huge period of murderless days between September 30th and November 9th. I have many Ideas to why a narcissistic killer would stop. Jack the Ripper became Public Enemy No.1 after the 'double event' so that alone could stave off his desire. Also the flood of Ripper letters had begun along with full press coverage of the murders, he was a internation sensation. His murderers flooded the papers at all corners of the world, with many myths of him already setting their roots in the soils of Ripperology. the name, though not ment by him,'jack the Ripper' gave his killings there own spot in history. By september 30th he wasnt just an unknown killer anymore, he was "jack the Ripper".
There is some much more to do and so much more to read about, but this is one of the many possible senerios that I can make with narcissism. There are many details leading to this senerio. But I just want to see what you guys think of it first.
