A few hours ago Lyn and I had a wonderful addition to our little zoo here at Casa Vila. Our younger cat, Rascal, finally had her kittens. Naturally, being the man-of-steel-with-a-marshmello-center that I am, I had the camera out and snapping away. Then, being a geek at heart, I whipped out a web page for the little fuzzy darlings.

    Here is the link:

And here is a taste of what's there:

We're keeping them all, Suz (It was pretty much a given anyway.)

Their future spay/neuterings already booked as I type.

Yes! I vote for Dids, too. And keep us posted.

Is that the proud papa looking on?

Maria, that's the proud Grandmother, Miss Kitty, looking on. Mama-cat to the one that gave birth yesterday. We think the papa-cat belongs to our nextdoor neighbors on the South side of our yard.

Here's Rascal, the moma-cat and all four kittens. Kittens are now 24 hours old:

And here is a close-up of just the four kittens:

They are starting to show differences in coloration now that they've dried off and been feeding for a whole day. One of them is pretty much hidden by two of the others, but you can see that the hidden one has a lot of gray in its color.

                        Enjoy the cuteness!

Suz, the 'black' one was zebra striped by this morning.. after thinking through a list of names appropriate to zebra stripes, we're still deciding between Anton(ia) or simply Mike.

But I'd be willing to consider Mags' vote and talk Dan into changing that once I receive a 'Miller's Ct', as drawn by Philip Hutchinson, signed and certified as original of course, in the mail..

Dids changing colour is par (purr) for the course for the feline master of disguise!!! Don't let this simple trick confuse you!

                            Philip-
                            Get onto it!!

I said it before and I'll say it again, censorship is the dirtiest word of all.
