Here she is. She keeps having a growling fit, but she's wandering around and falling asleep, and generally looking like she's at home.

Monty and Rommel don't seem to have any problem with her. However, Boots seems terrified of her, and just growls at her.

Strange, seeing as they're related. But then, maybe he resents her abandonment and needs therapy?

We have a new cat arriving tomorrow. It's actually Boots' mother.

For those who don't remember Boots

By the way, I don't know if this will work, but this should be a video of Boots indulging his vicarious 'nip' habit.

Anyway, his mother is only about 4 months older than he is (the tart) and she's called Brady at the moment. However, I can't possibly have a cat called Brady. People will get the wrong idea. So we're thinking of something else.

We have Monty (Bernard Law Montgomery, Viscount Alamein), Boots (Sir Arthur Wellesley, Duke of Wellington) and we still have Field Marshall Irwin Rommel hanging on to dear life, although she's getting rather creaky and I think it's getting very near 'that time'.

We need something that will fit it.

    Current suggestions include -

    -Tirpitz
    - Graf Spey
    - Prince Eugen
    - Boudiccia (not Boudicca) Which will probably get shortened to Bodie, which means any other cat needs must be a Doyle.
    - Jack (don't ask)

    We've also thought of

    - Benito Pussolini
    - Herman Purring

But we think that may be a bit silly!

So I'm throwing the debate wide open. Any suggestions for my new cat's name?

She's a tortishell if that helps.

And the fact that Mary looks a tad young.

But what a nice picture. And look at the fire in the grate and the kettle!
    Now, where's Maria Harvey's laundry?

    All the best

Apart from one thing - Joe should pop in to read to Mary.

    What fun.

    Hi Caz
Oooooooooooh poor Basil.........humiliation isn't in it!! Still I s'pose observing Mr and Mrs Robin at it like ..........'er robins must be a mild distraction!!

Gawd taking your photos into the chemist and waiting with bated breath for a couple of days..THEN having to go back and try not to meet the eyes of the 'smirking' assistants...who you just KNEW had had a look at your snaps and more than likely had a copy of the 'er 'best' ones pinned to the dispensary wall!!!!

Heeeeeeeeee!! .......Mind you there are always those halcyon Polaroid days to recall, when everyone felt just a tad dodgy, when you took and developed those little pictures in yer own 'ome!!

    Love

Oh Suzi, what a lovely photo.

Basil is still recovering from being caught napping in his tent by Minxy when she came on Friday to stay for the weekend. Oh the humiliation, to be laughed at by his older sis.

He is currently stretched out on the patio, bored by Mr and Mrs Robin who are 'on the nest' all over again - same nest, new brood, fresh worms. Will try to restrict the number of photos to less than three figures this time round. I can only vaguely recall the days of sending off a film and waiting weeks to find out if any of the pics were worth taking.

    Love,

    Caz
