    It's the little things.

    Hello Tom, Mike.

"I typically enjoy Mike Hawley's articles, and I especially enjoyed this one. It's hard not to get wrapped up in his passion for exploring small details to the fullest."

Goes double for me. Small details may be the way to solve the puzzle.

    Kudos, Mike.

    Cheers.

      lovely melody

Hello Velma. I almost missed your post.

"Inspectors can tell which electrician wired a house by the way he does things. In some medical show, a doctor took one look at stitches and knew which doctor had sewn the patient up."

      You are singing my song!

      Cheers.

Ripperologist 128 is superb. The Kozminski article demonstrates that there is still new information out there waiting to be discovered. Well done to all concerned. Loved it!

          Regards, Bridewell.
I won't always agree but I'll try not to be disagreeable.

I'm just catching up on my reading after getting back from England and I agree with all the praise being heaped on this issue. Everything from the editorial to the book reviews is first rate. Congratulations to all the contributors.

                Thoughts

Yes, in all the excitement about the articles this issue, I forgot to mention how much I enjoyed Eduardo's editorial (which I read first, I might add). You could run something by Eduardo and know it was him even without a byline, so unique is the 'voice' he writes in.

Jan Bondeson and his dog fixation. If anyone, including the editors, say they've read more than one of these all the way through, they are lying. Flat out lying. Needs to go in this reader's opinion.

The Truth by Glen Bledsoe makes absolutely no sense to me at all. I see a flying Gandhi and you've lost me. I miss the old funnies.

Howard and Nina? I like the idea of looking at people who confessed to being the Ripper, especially if new info can be provided.

Chris Scott's Press Trawl: You can never have too much of this.

The Gentle Author: Great columnist. A true one of a kind.

You know what would be a great idea for a column? And I've said this before...Nix Bondeson and get a real Ripperologist who will write a bi-monthly column giving his two cents on all things Ripperology...whatever happens to be new, books, articles, forum discussions, controversies, etc. And no, I do not want to do it. And I think very few of us would have the requisite knowledge or hutzphah to do it, but I'm sure someone would be up to the challenge.

Anyway, Bondeson and Truth aside, one of the strongest issues Rip has ever had.

                Yours truly,

                Tom Wescott

                  Lynn,
Gotta tell you, if you're enjoying my singing, you're the only person in the world who has ever liked my singing!

My son wasn't two yet when he crawled onto my lap to rock to sleep and said "Mama, don't sing."

Imagine having a two-year-old music critic living with you. Of course, he's very musical . . .

Now, that's almost enough to give a woman a complex.

                  But, thanks . . .

                  Velma

P.S. Of course, I'm considering the possibility that there was just one man responsible for the murders. Discordant for you, right?

                    Monty,

In many ways it isn't any new finds you and Rob have put forth so much as your encyclopedic knowledge of "old business," especially as it pertains to the Met and Cit police.

                    Don.

                      try

Hello Velma. Not really. As a matter of fact, I try that from time to time--with the major suspects.

                      Cheers.
