I know that Rob, just messing with you or how do you Brits say it, just winding you up...

I will review when time permits and give it a thumbs up...

If we knew who the ripper(s) was, we wouldn't be here would we...!

How can you give it a thumbs up before you've reviewed it?

You know, I'm not going to review the book. I never received a free review copy anyway.

Although Kosminski is imo a viable but unlikely suspect, your book is excellent and I found myself in agreement with many points you've made.

          Hi Rob,

Your book and I are both on our way to Spain, the book from Amazon in the US and I from Kenya via London. We won't be reunited until at least March, but if it's not too late I'll be delighted to post a review in Amazon.

          All the best,

I have read the book Scott and found it compelling. I anticipate my review will be largely commendatory.

I also gladly paid for the book.

The non-ripper related material; i.e; pogroms in Poland and Jewish East end tailors, is worth the price of admission...

Aaaarff, I have to renew my subscription but still I am a complete handicap with Paypal. Last time I had to bore Adam and send him cash.
And years ago I paid Glenn's book with a nice bottle of rosé cru classé.

Don't laugh, I have no idea what 'pm'd' means. Post Marked? I gather I will be getting this from that though, lol.

                            Hi Beowulf

Pm'd means private message, if you look to the top right of your screen you should see Private message written in red and the amount of unread messages you have. Just click on Private messages to take you to them. Hope this helps

Adam and crew - Oustanding article on Macnaghten, thank you.

We have pondered why Macnaghten's official report was not initialed off by others and didn't seem to "go anywhere." Was apparently not needed in an official capacity, such as by the Commissioner to respond to the Home Office for information.

Macnaghten wrote in response to the Sun articles. The same week that series appeared in February 1894 there were other stories, first among them an anarchist killing himself trying to detonate a bomb at Royal Observatory Greenwich. And police then raided the Autonomie Club.

Here is an interesting link about the Observatory Archives (click here) illustrating the many news articles that week kept as clippings there. Perhaps this big story stole some thunder from the Sun articles.
