  • Ripperologist 120: May 2011

Our current issue is Ripperologist 120, May 2011.

    Quote of the month:

“The guy only has one trademark, and that’s the burlap. What rhymes with burlap? Somebody floated ‘Sack the Ripper,’ but… the parallels between this person and Jack the Ripper, I mean, they’re not there. Jack the ripper was very distinctive.”

Matt Lysiak of the New York Daily News tells the Atlantic Wire that editors are struggling to find a name for the Long Island killer.

Adam Martin, Atlantic Wire, 9 May 2011

            With Phils article in mind...

Peter Roebuck, ex Somerset captain and current Cricket journalist, commit suicide in his South African hotel room last night.

As Charlie Dagnall, former Leicestershire all rounder has just tweeted, "Another former cricketer commits suicide. One is too many. Tragic."

            May he rest at peace.

"Fur cap" rhymes with "burlap" so who knows where that will lead?

Very sad to hear about Peter Roebuck, Monty - as you say, another cricketing suicide among so many.
I won't always agree but I'll try not to be disagreeable.
