  • Spitalfields by Dan Cruickshank

Maybe of interest a fantastic book by Spitalfields greatest conservationist and hero Dan Cruickshank telling the complete history of the area to modern day including some fabulous images many taken in the late 60s by Dan on his crusade to document and save the historic dwellings quite a lot of writings on jack both socially and architecturally included in my opinion a great read

Cheers Christian, it’s a book that I’ve picked up a couple of times but I’ve always gone for something else.
