Blimey, and I thought Scotty was simply pointing out a minor error so it doesn't make it past the final edit. Are posters seriously going to be criticised for helping to make Geddy's contribution even better when it is released?

Would it have been better for everyone to sit back and let Geddy risk getting Derek's first name wrong? That wasn't 'a mere typo'.

Scotty was the one who corrected the David/Derek mistake and Herlock referred to it as 'a mere typo', which it clearly wasn't. A name is personal and important to get right, while typos happen all the time and it's a rare book that is published without any.

The Baron's response was extreme in the other direction.
