I've just paid you for my order. Looking forward to it arriving!
I like the photo of the cat and book. He looks like he has read half of it already...I wish you every success and I hope it sells well for you.

Thanks Amanda for your order for three copies, no less! And thanks for your good wishes.

The cat really is reading the book, by the way.

I don't know if I can ever get it onto Kindle, because of the massive number of illustrations. An e-book creator has offered to do the conversion but wants $800. I'd never make that back in Kindle sales.

Is there any way that you can limit the number of illustrations? Therefore cutting down on costs?

I think you underestimate the potential for sales on Kindle. It is becoming an increasingly popular format, all my friends have one. Several people I know are waiting for your book in either paperback or Kindle.

I'm sure you will have every success with your book, Helena.
I am really looking forward to my hardback!

              Hi Amanda

If I left out all (or most) the illustrations, I could format the book myself for Kindle. I just worry that my customers will be disappointed. I toyed with the idea of putting all the pictures onto my website, for Kindle readers to see, but abandoned that idea, too, as they might not have internet access whilst reading ... so I put the whole thing onto the back boiler whilst I concentrated on getting the hardback and then the paperback out.

But I will DEFINITELY do a Kindle version at some point - either with or without the illustrations.

Your books will be in the post today. Sorry they didn't go out on the first mailing yesterday, but you ordered more than one, and the parcel won't fit in the postbox and has to be taken to the Post Office... just going there now...

                THE BOOK REACHED MANHATTAN!

And is seen here in the safe hands of Robert Anderson.

                  Helena

I've now finished my first read through, and it's a real cracker of a book...but I insist you put back the picture of Tarquin reading it, or else I won't tell anyone...err? oops...

                  Dave

PS Don't cut out the illustrations - whilst the text is paramount the illustrations do add a lot...you read something and just as you think "wonder what xxxx looked like" you turn the page and there it is...it's just one of those things I can't get over - how well constructed the book is in every sense.

                    I must be dreaming ...

I'm overwhelmed by the praise this book is receiving. I hardly know what to say.

THANKS very much would be a good start!

Three 5* reviews on Amazon now, all from casebook members.

No more than it merits, and possibly less than it deserves

                              Tarquin

                              Hi Helena

You see I've no fewer than nine (mostly rescued) cats floating round the place, (Harley, Tom, Dizzy, Spudley, Princess, Mwnci, Cookie, Mankie, Caspar) plus one (highly confused) Jack Russell called Billy....most of them in their own way serial killers - but a cat who's that interested in Seweryn Klosowski just has to be interesting...

                              All the best

                              Dave

Hi Dave ,a home is not a home without a cat the only problem is the cat ends up owning you.
