Richard Whittington Egan - probably the doyen of Ripper scholars.

His "Casebook" was originally published in the 70s - alas I did not obtain a copy at the time - and was/is considered a major landmark in lifting "Ripperology" out of the mire into a matter of serious study. In the book he clarified a number of issue, destroyed several myths and (I think) correctly identified for the first time the entry in the Model Dwellings where the GSG was located.

Philip sugdens complete history best book on subject Stewart Evans source book very good as well.both these books available on Amazon's kindle sugdens is only couple of quid bargain.Stewart Evans is about 8 quid well worth it
