Three things:
I concur that the letter needed to be included, as well as the verbatim "learn by heart" passed down story.
Then it would appear that extensive research into the doings of the Freemasons would be required to understand why someone would allow themselves to be thus exploited and actually kill.
Then of course, since the three perpetrators vanish into thin air, what was their reason for doing this, a sick sense of humor or to see just how far they could make a gullible man go.
