'My Life's Pilgrimage' Thos. Catling 1911

Written by the former editor of Lloyd's Weekly, includes a chapter describing how Catling was given information on the murder of Catherine Eddowes from Major Henry Smith and Dr Gordon Brown, within a couple of hours of the double event happening, and subsequently published the details in an Extra Special edition of the Lloyd's Weekly on 30th September, which is transcribed here on casebook

The "Cronicles of Crime" (sic) was a Canadian chap book printed in Toronto in 1895 and was reprinted by the Ripperological Preservation Society in 1997. The Ripper content is taken (stolen?) from Richard Kyle Fox's 1888 book The History of the Whitechapel Murders which was the first book to give a history of the crimes and offer a solution - Nicolas Vassili - to the identity of the murder. This, just weeks after the murder of Mary Jane Kelly, was the first book ever to do so and therefor the long list of suspect driven books begins here.

I did check the titles in the Ripperological Preservation Society list but didn't see it listed there, maybe I overlooked it or it is not a full list.
I'm puzzled why you wrote 'Cronicles of Crime' (sic), looking at the title page it seems to be spelt correctly. Was it spelt wrongly on the front cover? That isn't shown in the images.

Yes, exactly. It's the front cover which is titled "Cronicles of Crime and Criminals" not the inside or back cover.

Sorry, just another point. A book gets its title from the title page. A title that appears anywhere else is a variant title.
