  • Guilty or Not Guilty? by Guy Russell - 1931

Has anyone ever heard of this 1931 book and do we know what conclusions, if any, were reached by this author?
    Many thanks

Wow, never heard of it. I'd be shell-shocked if Stewart doesn't have it. Thanks, Chris, my curiosity is piqued.

    Yours truly,

I've never heard of it either, although I see that Clifford Elmer and Loretta both have rather beat-up copies for sale. But just you wait. SPE will be along here any minute with a scan of its cover.

        Hi guys
The basic details are given at
Guilty or not guilty? by William de Redman Greenwood, 1931, Hutchinson & Co., ltd. edition, in English

This tells us that "Guy Russell" was a pen name and the book was written by William de Redman Greenwood (born 1858)

          Hi GM
          Thanks for the info
I looked at the Clifford Elmer site. His list of book details includes this intriguing note:-
Includes fifty illustrations, including Miller's Court - scene of the last Ripper murder.

Seeing as this was published in 1931, I wonder which Miller's Court illustration/photo this is...
