  • New book by Richard Jones

Hi everyone.. In the US, it says that famous London historian and Ripper expert Richard T Jones has a book being released on Sept.1st entitled "Jack the Ripper:The Casebook.: I was just if anyone on here can tell me what the book is like and how is it distinguished from other books on JTR.
I won't make any deals. I've resigned. I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed,de-briefed, or numbered!

I haven't seen the announcement of a US edition, but I assume that this is the western-side-of-the-pond's version of the book that was published by Andre Deutsch in England last year.

If it is, you'll like it. It's sort of a portfolio publication with facsimiles of some of the documents most relevant to our favourite subject. Good text, good pictures, and well worth getting, I'd say.

Definitely have to second that. It's not bleeding with crazy theorizing and it really is something.

It's like having the National Archives on your shelf without needing the white gloves!

Is the rumor that he adopted the middle initial after his hero from the Starship Enterprise true?

Anything by Richard Jones should be in your collection.

Check out his DVD's. And he is a great magician.

Book onto one of his his Ripper walks. If you dont get him, dont be disappointed if you get Philip Hutchinson or John Bennett - both thoroughly recommended

I just looked at the book on Amazon. Looks great. Might be the best book on the topic that was ever published by Jones...or maybe anyone for that matter

Hmmm. Now this is only a suggestion, and please don't take it the wrong way; but, since you're so new here, you might want to think about posting less and reading more.
