Will Storr vs the Supernatural with Philip Hutchinson

I am in the process of re-reading the above book, and Will meets our very own Phil at a Ghost Club vigil - something i completely overlooked when i read this book over a year ago.

Its a nice few pages of dialogue between them,so if you see the book cheap or can get it from your library it's well worth a read .
He even mentions about Phil's ghost-walks..!!

I took the book out at the local library a few years back and loved it, going so far as quizzing Philip on his starring role. I eventually found a copy for £1.00 and love it.

Storr manages to approach the suspect with serious questions, but done in such a cheeky fashion, that it's a pleasure to read.
    Regards Mike

It is Mike, thats why i'm re-reading it because i fancied a light and entertaining read again.
How i missed Phil being in it last time i will never know,i mustn't have been concentrating.

Hopefully Phil will see this and add a few comment of his own on that moment. What did he tell you about it ?

I just asked if it was was the same Philip Hutchinson, and I honestly cannot remember what he said, I am sure he had one of those memory erasing devices used in Men In Black.

The most amusing section for me, was when Will ripped apart Most Haunted, by stating that he had seen a shooting script that called for Dezza to stage a possession!!

Yep and Will found the whole scripted scenario in the trailer toilet and stuck it down his trousers.(I wonder if he still has that !!)
And the bit where Derek is searching for the ghost of Matthew Hopkins and suddenly someone shouts "cut" and suddenly Derek stops everything and reaches in his pocket for a packet of fags and lights up.

The good thing is that Will is truly neutral in all this and only records what he sees and what he finds out or discovers, hence it shows Most Haunted for the true crap it is.

The title of this thread seems to suggest that Philip Hutchinson has formed a tag team with the supernatural, and they then take on Will Storr.

              Ghostly Ripper Walks...

That's funny what you say about Derek Acorah; I find him absolutely unbearable!

But you have all set me wondering if Phil Hutchinson plans to continue conducting Ripper Walks & Ghost Walks and such 100+ years from now, after he too has gone over to the Other Side.

Maybe Phil will finally be able to vent his only-human Tourist Guide frustrations & will enjoy the Paranormal Power to invisibly tag along with tour groups, tripping up the stupider tourists, sloshing them with their own micro-brew beer, and maybe delivering the occasional 'dope slap'!

(Hopefully he will resist the urge to simply pitch them over very high walls.)

Will is still in occasional contact, though he's been working in Australia for a long time. To his credit, he stayed with the Ghost Club long after he wrote the book (in fact, he gave me my copy at a vigil we were both attending in 2006).

I have video of 'that' trance medium at Coalhouse Fort and it is hysterical. We didn't actually do all the interview there, though the book makes out that we did. We were indeed having a chat on top of the fort in the wee small hours as lights from ships slowly passed by, but some of the interview was conducted at a Ghost Club lecture a few months later.

I agree his book is one of the best you'll find on the subject and his views match my own (though I'm a little more cynical by a notch or two).

Great info Philip thanks for that.
Is Will still interested in the supernatural after all he went through or has his sceptism one the day ?
How tall is he by the way bcos i always get the feeling he is a giant !!
