30pp. Illus. in text. Facsimile not dated, but original cover shows December 1888. An edition from the Old Cap Collier Library- Great Detective Stories in Book Form , No. 333 and priced at 10 cents. Circulated by the Ripperological Preservation Society.

Although the details say this book was circulated by the RPS I can find no mention of it on their Casebook page at

Does anyone know anything of this book and was it written by (or under the name of) Charles Warren?

Thanks for posting this Chris, I have most on the list and only the "Ripper File" got my attention. Lets hope I strike it rich on tonights Euro-Millions!

Hi Chris -

I reprinted that one years ago through the RPS - it was an American dime novel, not written by Sir Charles Warren - that was just the fictional pseudonym of the author.
