Charity Auction to Benefit the Childhood Leukemia Foundation
Simon Wood generously donated items to the 2008 Jack the Ripper Conference with the intention of raising money for a charitable organization. We have all agreed that the Childhood Leukemia Foundation, of which Jeremy Beadle was a longtime supporter, would be a most worthy recipient, and we have decided to donate the money raised in his memory.
We sold the less expensive items outright at the conference, but would like to allow everyone the chance to bid on the most rare (and most generous) item in order to make the largest possible donation.
Up for auction:
Camille Wolf's Who Was Jack the Ripper?
Grey House Books, 1995.
Limited to only 100 copies, of which this is #81.
Signed on title page by the book's producer, Loretta Lay, and compiler Camille Wolff.
The book also includes the signatures of 50 more Ripperologists, reading like a who's who of Ripperology. A few signatures are on labels.
The full list of signatories (aside from Wolff and Lay) is as follows:
Jeremy Beadle

We have taken early bids at the conference, with the highest bidder being Joanna Hannigan at $225. We will consider this to be the starting bid.
Please post bids on this thread in at least dollar increments.
We will consider the auction completed when it has been a minimum of one week (October 23rd), and when the auction has gone 24 hours without a bid, at which point the winner will be the highest bidder.
As this is a charity auction, the bidder will pay shipping costs (type of shipping chosen by the winner, plus insurance as the winner chooses).
Let me know if you have any questions.
Have at it!
Please see our other auction thread for another exciting item.
