2 films promoting a book on Jack the Ripper.

G'day. I've finished Part 2 on my films for my novel about Thompson being the Ripper. While Part 1 gives a fresh history of the Ripper murders, Part 2 details my suspect’s secret life and his motive.

    Ripper Part 1 v2

    Ripper Part 2

Note: in Part 1 Mary Kelly is mistakenly attributed as being married when she was actually in a De Facto relationship.

Because the films are part of the preface to my novel. I would really appreciate any feedback on whether these films would make someone want to buy the book about them.

I'll start this off. There are some inaccuracies or at least unknowns that are portrayed as truth. One is the idea the Jack the Ripper sent letters. That is unknown and always in debate. In truth, the idea leans toward the killer NOT sending letters. Next, I believe you said (though your speech was super fast) that there were bits of flesh strewn around the room in Kelly's death. I've read nothing of the sort, so that is at best, speculation. Finally, you suggest that Eddowes' murder happens almost immediately after Stride's. Obviously, that isn't correct. So, these inaccuracies give one pause.

Thanks. These criticisms are well founded and in fact it is likely that much more of what I say may be open to debate including even if any or if all the murders were by the same hand. I suppose being a novel I'm more interested in a story that is an entertaining distillation of the myths surrounding the crimes rather than historical accuracy. I hope that placing this thread in the fiction section would have made this apparent.

An update on my films and my novel.

Both Parts 1 and 2 of my films promoting my novel can now be seen together at:

To avoid confusion I have removed the links to each separate film. My novel, ‘Francis Thompson and the Ripper Paradox’ , can now be found on Amazon at:
