  • A Whitechapel Murders book by Dr Martin Roberts....???

I have heard mention that Dr Roberts* has written a book on the Whitechapel
Murders. Not sure if it has already published or not.

Has anybody any info about this book?

    Regards,
    Martyn

*I believe this is the same author who wrote a book about Madelaine Mccann and presumably also mentioned in the A-Z re Ripperana, 43 Jan 2003).

I haven't been able to find any reference to this book.

    Could you publish your source?

    Cheers!

      Hi barnflatwyngarde

I viewed the following video from Richard D Hall:

      Show Ref: 268
      Guest/Subject: UK Tour Video Diary
Topics Discussed: Richplanet activities update & a light
      hearted video diary.
      Release Date: 25-04-2019

It's available on RDH's website and on youtube:
Enjoy the videos and music you love, upload original content, and share it all with friends, family, and the world on YouTube.

In this video RDH mentioned he had met and chatted to Dr Martin
Roberts and that the latter has written a book on the Whitechapel murders.

I will try and find more details and will publish anything I find on this thread,
unless someone beats me to it...

I have to find the good Dr's contact details first...

      Regards,

      Martyn

          Time in movie: 30:35

Couldn't easily find a way to contact Dr Roberts, so am just going to await to see if/when more info emerges.

Are you sure that you didn’t dream this book Martin?

H, if I may be so bold you as to address you so informally, I think it may have something to do with the fact
that, since last Friday I've been feeling like Mother...

Martin Roberts' suspect was/is Dr. James Cockburn Gloster, an OB/GYN practicing in London at the time, performing abortions. I'm not sure this is the subject of any book.

My impression is that Roberts passed away a couple of years ago.

                    Hi Scott,

                    Thanks for the info.

I'm a little unsure then whether Roberts is with us or not? The info as stated previously is from RDH's latest video where he indicated he met and spoke to Roberts recently sans ouija board presumably.

I'll email RDH soon and see if I can get more info that way.

                    Cheers and thanks again,

                    Martyn

I was just looking through my old Ripperana’s and Dr Martin Roberts name jumped out at me on two issues. #45 Has an article called Name And Address Withheld which appears to be Tumblety related. The other is #66 which is the Madeleine McCann article.
