Thanks, Richard. It's strange that so many solid looking buildings have since been demolished.
I won't always agree but I'll try not to be disagreeable.

      Hi Richard,

      Oh boy, that's clever.

      Well done.

      Regards,

      Simon

As always Richard I am envious of your abilities.

There are two ways to be fooled, one is to believe what isn't true, the other is to refuse to believe that which is true.

          Brilliant

          Richard,

Simply brilliant, actually feels quite eerie.

Many thanks for the kind comments and your enthusiasm. I enjoy creating these 3D things but I'm also happy to know that there is an appreciative audience out there! AND that maybe they visually benefit 'ripper' research.

The only sadness is that all this centers around some truly tragic events 100+ years ago and that people suffered.

            Anyway...

The Dorset St. image was not the best to work with as it is obviously old, grainy, faded and degraded. High quality images yield high quality results. If you look at the distant background (the skyline) it almost looks like a smudged pencil drawing and the chap in the road in the middle distance (I like to call Dodger) is but a dark smudge with no real defining edge - tricky to crop.

It could certainly be better - if I took a bit more time - but I'll leave this attempt as is and get to work on another scene and take a bit more time to get a better result.

Oh! not sure if anyone spotted the 'Easter egg' (not literally) in the scene. let me know if you did.

Next I'm working on a 'fly-thru' of Hanbury St.

            thanks again. x
