Congratulations to Dark Tale Productions one and all then. I look forward to seeing the trailer - apologies if you have already given it, but at what address will the trailer be available?

Well done. It is clear to all on here that you have worked very hard on this, and I have high expectations that, albeit a modernisation, it will be a little more true to the spirit of the facts than some other representations of elements of the case. You have gone about this the right way (imo) and for that should be applauded.

I can tell you that it will be accurate to a certain point. The screenplay itself was very accurate about the final moments of Kelly but Post-Production problems have prevented the final film from being just as accurate. Yes, it's still more accurate then From Hell (film). But I was forced to take out Hutchinson seeing Kelly leave with the Astrakan Man. Kelly's "Oh, murder!" line has also been eliminated. As well as the Polly Nichols murder. The Vigilance Committee storyline was eliminated as well. The reason being is because a lot of footage was corrupted and reshooting it would've been too expensive.

But either way, the Night of the Double Murder is in the film. Certain lines from the Ripper letters, the Astrakan Man/Ripper... although Hutchinson won't see him leave with Kelly. Joseph Barnett/Kelly's argument a week before the murder. And Mary Kelly herself makes a cameo towards the end.

The mutilation is also more of a tribute to Kelly rather then a gorefest.

It will be available for viewing on youtube later in the evening (eastern time).

Unfortunately, I could not put together my preview on time. Sorry folks, Monday, most likely.

            Magnificent!

We can't fault you nor the film for corrupted footage, it was simply out of your hands. Instead, we should applaud you for making the efforts for accuracy!

Maybe one day, technology may improve enough t retrieve this lost footage. Then you can re-release it as the Director's Cut.

Also, would you still like to see that ten-minute play I wrote awhile back? Warning: as it's an early draft and may be bad for your eyes. I've already have major changes in mind, including changing the setting.

Haha, nah... once I'm done with a film, I'm done with it for good, haha. So there won't be any director's cut.

I've just written a ten minute play too! I'm entering it for a competition. You can read it too if you like

I'm sure the film will turn out brilliantly
